The Holiday islands of the Canary Islands dominate the most popular winter sun destinations for UK holidaymakers.

Long haul destinations are also pulling sun seekers this winter, with Caribbean holidays  plus Cancun, Orlando, Cuba, Goa and Barbados all in the top ten.

Research by HOLIDAY BOOKINGS on cheaperholidays.co.uk show that the Canary islands of Tenerife, Lanzarote and Gran Canaria remain the UK favourites as winter sun destinations.

However, Dubai is the fourth most popular winter holiday spot, with the Red Sea holiday resort of Sharm El-Sheikh at tenth.
